Teen Bodybuilding

Teenagers have various reasons to go for body building: to enhance their self-esteem and confidence level, attract attention of ladies and to keep fit and active.

Teens join health clubs to build up their body muscles to flaunt in front of the friends. One can start bodybuilding when one thinks that the body is ready for rigorous workout. It becomes easy for people who have been doing some fitness exercises. One can start with little stamina for a high intensity workout. But putting on some extra efforts will make a difference.

Bodybuilding secrets

Teen body building has three components: training, eating right and having good supplementation. Good magazines available on body building are Flex and Muscle and Fitness. One gets inspired by impressive physiques featuring on the pages of the magazines.

Building the body with lean muscle will make the body look better. But also one can build strength in the core. One can build on functional strength by combining power lifting and Olympic style lifting. In addition to the lifts, one can adopt bodybuilding exercises for each muscle group.

Weight training

Weight training is important for teenagers who want to improve their size, strength and performance, It is also important that starters should not make any mistake.

If one gets to do a quality program on weight training, one should be able to get about 50 pounds more in addition to the previous. One can train for six days a week. The entire body will be trained three times a week in the beginning. Muscle mass will be added if one looks for building the core strength at the beginning.

Taking care of the heart

The heart (the most important muscle of the body) has to be strengthened with cardio-vascular exercise, like aerobic conditioning irrespective of the built of the body: big or small, skinny or fat. Starting from running one mile every 3 days, it should be slowly built up to 4-5 miles.  One should be nice and slow and gradually the distance will be increased as one starts gaining weight. The idea is to push a little harder each time. The timing for each run should be improved.
